JUNIA’s daily commitment to sustainable development is reinforced by ISO 14000 and DD&RS (Sustainable Development and Corporate Social Responsibility) certifications. Our sustainability has been recognised by numerous awards, including runner-up in the International Green Gown Awards, administered by the Environmental Association for Universities and Colleges (EAUC) to celebrate outstanding sustainability initiatives at universities and colleges around the world.

Sustainable development and social responsibility are at the heart of what we do. Reducing the environmental impact of farming, industrial and food production activities are the core of our pedagogical mission. Therefore having a sustainable campus is the first step to our goal of creating a sustainable world. JUNIA's social responsibility is known as Resonance.

JUNIA’s social responsibility policy is centred around 3 pillars of sustainable development: people, the planet, and prosperity which are broken down into 12 areas of action.
Stakeholders
For these 12 areas of action, our social responsibility team works with various internal stakeholder groups, including our students, staff, human resources team, as well as external ones. In terms of external stakeholders, we are proud to participate in the following sustainability initiatives :
The LiveTree Program
The LiveTree programme is located in Lille’s Vauban district, as part of the REV-3 (Third Industrial Revolution) project.
Zero Carbon Campus project
Sustainable Development Commission of the Community of Universities and Institutions Lille Nord de France, in particular its Zero Carbon Campus project .
Commission of the CGE
Sustainable Development Commission of the CGE (Conférence des Grandes Ecoles), by co-leading the work group on sustainable development and corporate social responsibility through Franck Chauvin, a JUNIA faculty member.
Association for Corporate Social Responsibility in Higher Education (CIRSES)

In order to ensure our work is in harmony with the environment and an inclusive society, we are ISO 14001 certified, and committed to:

Our social responsibility policy also gets everyone at JUNIA behind concepts such as accessibility, mobility, the circular economy, energy management, sustainable purchasing and social entrepreneurship, among others.
