The Undergraduate Programme – Specialization in Engineering is the first step of JUNIA’s 5-year engineering track. Taught in English, it combines scientific fundamentals, humanities and project-based learning to prepare students for international engineering careers.
Students progressively specialize in engineering and IT while developing the skills to understand, design and deliver solutions for today’s global challenges.

Engineering is about more than technology. It means understanding complex systems, working across disciplines and turning ideas into practical solutions.
This programme provides a strong grounding in science, engineering, humanities and project management, helping students develop analytical thinking, teamwork and adaptability before progressing towards advanced engineering studies in an international environment.
Learning through projects and professional immersion
Starting in their first year, students complete a mandatory four-week internship abroad. This immersion experience allows them to explore an international professional environment and strengthen their command of English.
Technical projects, teamwork, and hands-on experience are also central to the program. Students apply their scientific knowledge to real-world situations and gradually develop independence, a systematic approach, and the ability to adapt.
Two years to lay the foundation for future international engineers
The integrated preparatory program in English combines basic sciences, engineering sciences, projects, and language immersion.
Over time, students develop the scientific, humanities, and intercultural skills necessary to pursue their studies in the engineering program at HEI or ISEN.
Studying Abroad
After your second year, you’ll have the opportunity to study at one of our partner universities located around the world. This is a great opportunity for all students in the International Preparatory Program to study abroad in an immersive setting for one or two semesters.

Why choose an engineering prep program taught in English?
Accessible immediately after high school graduation, the integrated preparatory program in English is the first step in JUNIA’s five-year engineering curriculum. Starting in their first year, students develop their scientific, technical, and interpersonal skills through a balanced curriculum that combines theory, projects, hands-on work, and exposure to the professional world.
Unlike more traditional preparatory programs, it promotes gradual learning, personalized support, and immersion in the life of a prestigious engineering school. Students are thus able to calmly develop their academic plans and prepare for their future specialization under the best possible conditions.
The integrated preparatory program in English is open to applicants who demonstrate a minimum A2 level in English, in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
This level enables students to follow courses taught in English while continuing to improve through daily practice of the language. Throughout the program, students strengthen their language skills and develop their confidence in an international and multicultural environment—a real asset for their future careers.
The integrated preparatory programme in English prepares students to earn a JUNIA HEI or ISEN engineering degree. Awarded after five years of study, this degree is recognized by the French government and accredited by the Commission des Titres d’Ingénieur (CTI), the leading authority on the quality of engineering education in France.
This accreditation guarantees the academic excellence of the programme and facilitates international recognition of the degree.

After completing the programme, students can either spend Year 3 at one of JUNIA’s partner universities abroad or continue their studies at JUNIA in Lille. They then pursue their engineering studies within the JUNIA engineering track, according to their chosen pathway and specialization.
