FAQ
How does JUNIA assess the effectiveness of its CSR policy?

JUNIA relies on recognized management tools and frameworks to track the progress of its CSR approach. The ISO 14001 certification, audited every year, is used in particular to measure the results of the environmental actions undertaken. The school also relies on the national DD&RS framework and on indicators tracked over time to identify progress made, areas for improvement, and upcoming priorities. This approach helps embed CSR commitments into the institution’s day-to-day operations.

What does JUNIA do to reduce its environmental impact?

JUNIA takes action in several areas: controlling energy and water consumption, reducing waste, cutting paper use, developing more sustainable mobility options, preserving biodiversity, and reducing its carbon footprint. These actions rely in particular on the ISO 14001 certification, which governs the institution’s environmental management and helps measure progress over time.

How are sustainability issues integrated into the programmes?

Environmental, societal, and technological issues are woven into the programmes through coursework, projects, research work, and collaborations with companies. Students are encouraged to reflect on the impact of technology, the challenges posed by ongoing transitions, and the solutions that can address them. The goal is to train engineers and professionals capable of understanding complex situations, taking their consequences into account, and acting responsibly.

What are JUNIA’s CSR commitments?

JUNIA’s CSR policy is built around four complementary pillars. The first focuses on people, with actions promoting well-being, health, inclusion, and equal opportunity. The second concerns the environment, through reducing the impact of the school’s activities. The third aims to make education, research, and innovation drivers for supporting transitions. Finally, the fourth pillar concerns governance, with the monitoring of results, continuous improvement, and dialogue with stakeholders.

What is JUNIA’s RéSonancE 1.5 CSR initiative?

RéSonancE 1.5 is JUNIA’s corporate and environmental responsibility initiative. It aims to integrate social, environmental, and societal issues into all of the school’s activities: education, research, campus life, and relationships with companies and regions. This initiative aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and the ambition set out in the Paris Agreement. It is based on a logic of continuous improvement, with objectives tracked over time and concrete actions carried out across the institution.
