Starting in the first year, JUNIA implements programs to help students succeed. Whether it’s orientation, study skills, understanding course material, or building skills, every student can receive support tailored to their needs so they can progress at their own pace.
Mutual Aid
Mutual support is based on students helping one another. Tutoring, support between graduating classes, and welcoming international students help them integrate, explore the campus, and adapt to new study methods. Everyone can benefit from advice from students who have already gone through the same stages of their academic journey.
Reinforcement
The tutoring program offers support in certain subjects covered by the curriculum. These sessions are led by students from other JUNIA programs who have a strong grasp of the relevant subjects. The goal is to help each student reinforce what they’ve learned and overcome any difficulties they encounter in their courses.
Remediation
Remediation is a refresher program designed for first-year students in the preparatory cycle. It allows students to review the fundamental science concepts covered in high school and to approach college-level coursework with greater confidence, particularly when they have not previously taken certain specialized courses.
Tools
Thematic workshops, methodological training sessions, tutorials, and practical guides are available year-round. These resources help students organize their work, take notes effectively, prepare for exams, and develop learning strategies suited to higher education.
Balancing Passion and Studies
JUNIA supports students involved in high-level sports or the arts so they can pursue their studies under the best possible conditions. Depending on their situation, personalized adjustments to the curriculum may be implemented following approval by the Programs Department. Each program is designed to accommodate the demands of training, competitions, or artistic practice, while maintaining the academic standards of the program.
Personalized Support
Each year, JUNIA supports more than 100 students with disabilities. Personalized accommodations can be arranged for coursework, exams, internships, or work-study programs, in collaboration with the Disability Services Office.
A dedicated team
Students have access to health services and counseling resources. The SAFE initiative also helps promote a respectful, inclusive environment that is attentive to situations involving discrimination, harassment, or violence.
Learning in a Different Way
Participating in community organizations helps students develop their independence, sense of responsibility, and ability to work as part of a team. Getting involved in a group project complements academic learning with practical, formative experiences.
Planning for Your Professional Future
Internships, work-study programs, job searches, or interview preparation: various programs support students as they develop their career plans and transition into the workforce.
Committing to a Career in Defense
As a partner of the Ministry of Defense, JUNIA offers students the opportunity to learn about careers and issues in the military world. Armed Forces-Youth internships, conferences, visits to military facilities, the Smart Challenge, training programs at the IHEDN (Institute for Advanced National Defense Studies), and reserve programs allow students to explore different forms of engagement while developing skills in leadership, organization, and crisis management.

From the first year onward, students have access to various support programmes: peer support, tutoring, extra help in certain subjects, catch-up sessions, or study skills workshops. These services are offered throughout the program to help everyone progress at their own pace.
Students can submit a request to the Mission Accueil Handicap (Disability Support Office) at the Université Catholique de Lille. After the request is reviewed and discussed with the relevant contacts, suitable accommodations can be arranged for coursework, exams, internships, or work-study placements.
Yes. Students recognized as high-level athletes or artists can benefit from personalized adjustments to their course of study in order to balance their studies with intensive training or practice. Each case is reviewed individually by the Programmes Department.
Yes. Throughout their studies, students are supported in building their career plans through internships, work-study, relationships with companies, recruitment events, and various programmes that promote entry into the workforce.
Yes. Depending on their situation, students can benefit from various options: means-tested CROUS grants, partner scholarships, honor loans, one-off financial support, aid dedicated to certain profiles, and student jobs offered within the school.
