Partners Around the World
With more than 340 partner universities worldwide, JUNIA fosters collaborations that promote academic exchanges, dual degrees, and international projects. These partnerships help connect campuses, cultures, and areas of expertise around major scientific and societal challenges. The school also participates in several mobility programs such as Erasmus+, Brafagri, Chilfagri, ARFITEC, and Mexfitec.
A wide range of courses
Energy, industry, digital technology, agriculture, food, and the environment: JUNIA’s programs cover the major areas of transition. Depending on the program, courses are taught in French or English to accommodate students from diverse backgrounds. Most programs are open to exchange students, with the exception of work-study programs.
JUNIA offers courses in French and English. All programs are open to exchange students who meet the academic and language prerequisites. A minimum of 20 ECTS credits per semester must be earned.
All programs are open to students regardless of age, background, gender, disability, or sexual orientation. Erasmus+ students with disabilities or special needs may be eligible for additional funding specifically for their mobility. The International Relations teams are available to assist them with the necessary procedures.
JUNIA uses the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). One semester is equivalent to 30 ECTS credits, and a full academic year is equivalent to 60 ECTS credits.
In addition to their grade, students receive an evaluation based on their academic standing relative to all students in the program. The overall GPA takes into account all results obtained throughout the program.
The application process for the exchange program consists of four steps: nomination by the partner university, submission of the online application along with the required documents, review of the application by JUNIA, and then sending the acceptance letter and practical information to admitted students.
The deadlines are May 15 / May 31 for the fall semester and October 15 / October 31 for the spring semester.
Preparing for Your Arrival in France
The Visa
Students from countries outside the European Union must obtain a student visa before arriving in France. The application process varies depending on the country of residence and must be completed with the relevant French authorities. The JUNIA teams will assist you in preparing your application and are available to help you with the procedures related to settling in and validating your stay once you arrive in France.
A guided welcome upon your arrival
As soon as you arrive on campus, a dedicated team will help you get your bearings. Whether it’s housing, administrative procedures, exploring the campus, or practical information—we do everything we can to help you settle in. An orientation session also gives you the chance to meet other international students and get this new experience off to the best possible start.
Learn French
French as a Foreign Language (FLE) courses are offered to non-French-speaking students. These courses help students improve their language skills, facilitate everyday communication, and build confidence in a French-speaking environment. This learning complements academic studies and promotes gradual integration into campus life and life in France.

JUNIA welcomes international students through exchange programmes, dual degrees, or full degree programs (english-taught and French-taught programmes). Access depends on the programme chosen as well as the associated academic and language requirements. JUNIA counts 23% international students on its campuses in France. Students receive dedicated support throughout the admissions process and can also access guidance on visas, accommodation and everyday life in France. JUNIA provides an international and welcoming environment for students looking to study engineering in France.
Depending on the programme, courses are taught in French or English. Several programmes are entirely available in English, while others require proficiency in French.
To join an exchange programme, a minimum B1 or B2 level is generally required in the language of instruction of the programme (French or English).
