One of the strategic pillars of JUNIA is to offer our international students the best possible chance when integrating our degree programs.
One of the strategic pillars of JUNIA is to offer our international students the best possible chance when integrating our degree programs.
The program directors, international student services offices, academic affairs, and the career center all work together to better serve our international students in the creation and development of their career plans, notably when searching for an internship or job.
In particular, the career center offers academic tools for preparing out students to join the workforce, putting special emphasis on connecting students with businesses through conferences, guest lectures, and courses taught by working professionals (HR, consultancies, employment agencies, and more).
The Career Center offers all students a 24-hour course in career development. This course was created specifically for international students to teach them about the unique culture, operations, and codes in French businesses. Integrated into all graduate programs, the course includes lessons on developing a professional plan and related tools (building a CV, writing a motivation letter, creating a pitch, perfecting a LinkedIn profile, and more).
The program also highlights the importance of developing a professional network, giving students many opportunities to do so through contact with our corporate partners.
The career development course is available in French or English depending on the student’s language ability and career goals. All students enrolled in a program requiring internship experience must take this course to help ensure success.
