Developing digital & industrial transition
The development of big data and artificial intelligence has transformed our approach to all areas.
The challenge is to find out how to harness these new technologies to accompany the digital and industrial transition in business. How do we enable innovation through digital and industrial transition? Another concern is how to use these new technologies to address social, environmental and economic challenges.
JUNIA’s research teams study the introduction of intelligence in objects, from using new materials to update artificial neurons to have ultra-weak energy consumption to using digital tools to create a more inclusive society. On the industrial side, work done in JUNIA’s labs have already enabled the preventative maintenance of production machines using automatic analysis of acoustic signals. Digital technology opens new horizons, but also raises ethical, social and ecological questions. Data protection, cybersecurity, and the sustainability of massive system implementation are among some of the concerns included in this research from the beginning of the projects.
The demonstrator allows students to experience virtual reality, retrodesign, additive fabrication, computer-aided fabrication, metrology and maintenance through augmented reality within the framework of their academic program. Robotics, logistics, automation, energy supervision, digital data management are themes studied by our researchers, students, PhD candidates and professors.
Cliic is an interface combining business and technology. The objective of Cliic is to support business owners address their challenges with solutions based on three missions: education, research, and business relations.
This demonstrator welcomes business owners, companies, government organisations, and associations and accompanies them through new transitions in business, notably on new consumer habits.
JUNIA graduate school of science and engineering trains future engineers to respond to current and future ecological challenges. This goal is met through education, but also through hands-on learning projects. Students take part in diverse group work opportunities on varied themes throughout their studies.
These projects are an opportunity for students to pursue their passions. Through research on improving processes, products, methods, or even proposing solutions to a specific problem, students work to rise to the current and future challenges of our society.
JUNIA Graduate School of Science and Engineering integrates this transition into the heart of our academic programs and offers several programs related to digital transition
