Artificial intelligence

A new way of doing computer science

Artificial intelligence is defined as the collection of concepts, theories, techniques, and tools that enable the design of systems capable of performing tasks that usually require human intelligence—or even surpass it. This encompasses the ability to perceive, understand, reason, learn, interact, and make decisions, often by leveraging sophisticated algorithms and large amounts of data (Big Data).

Skills targeted

  • Master the fundamental concepts and applications of AI (Machine Learning and Deep Learning, Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, Human-Machine Interaction, etc.).

  • Stay continuously updated on AI advances and emerging technologies.

  • Identify the needs and benefits of AI for automation processes, and know how to develop and integrate operational AI solutions.

  • Act as a player in enterprise decision-making and business intelligence.

Machine learning and deep learning

Machine Learning, or learning from examples—commonly referred to as “Machine Learning”—is a major branch of AI. It aims to develop models and algorithms capable of analyzing data and identifying patterns for decision-making, classification, or prediction.
Deep Learning, on the other hand, encompasses advanced machine learning techniques based on artificial neural network architectures.
The engineering of these models (design, training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring) plays a significant role in this area of specialization.

Generative AI

Generative AI is transforming the way we write, code, create, or simply interact with computer systems. From ChatGPT to Midjourney or Gemini, these technological advances open up endless horizons and unprecedented opportunities for innovation by mimicking the human creative process, ushering in a new era of collaboration between artificial intelligence and the human mind.
The “Artificial Intelligence” specialization will enable students to understand the mechanisms behind these technologies and explore ways to leverage them by integrating AI into enterprise tools.

Focus on the professional contract

By choosing this specialization, it is possible to complete the final year of training through a 12-month work-study program (professional contract). In this case, students on a professional contract benefit from a tailored schedule and projects. Throughout the year, students alternate between periods at the company and at school, from September to June.

Career Center for students

The program

During this final year of study, the courses take various forms:

  • Lectures

  • Labs and tutorials

  • Projects

  • Two internships (spread over the two years of study)

Assessments

Depending on the module, assessments may take the form of continuous evaluation, mid-term exams, course projects, or project/internship presentations.
